A Word about off-road vehicles on City Streets

From the Valdez Police Department

Since summer riding season is here, we would like to take a moment to advise our citizens and visitors of changes in both state and local laws regarding All-Purpose Vehicles. Because there are quite a few changes in this law at both the state and local level, this will be the first of multiple posts aimed at providing information to the public. Please peruse this handy-dandy flowchart we have made to address who may operate APV/ATV’s on roads and streets and which streets/roads they may be operated upon. If you need to, we are totally cool with you printing it off and taking it with you while you’re zipping around town. #OveryThirtyFiveyNoDriveyDrivey#BYODriverLicense*Strictly off-road use does not require adherence to these rules. Please have a safe and fantastic summer and stay tuned for more information on these changes posted on our page.
