The Girdwood Fungus Fair and Cordova Fungus Festival join forces this year to bring us the Gird-dova Virtual Fungus Fest, a virtual event featuring some of the best fungi folks, classes, and experiences around. Shane Kimberlin interviews both Cathy Renfeldt, Executive Director for the Cordova Chamber of Commerce, and Kate Mohatt, forest service ecologist and president/co-founder of the Turnagain Arm Mycological Society.

The community of Valdez received confirmation of its eleventh resident case of COVID-19 on Monday. The new resident case is an adult who experienced symptoms and remained in isolation since the onset of their illness. They are following the guidance of their medical provider and public health officials. All close contacts of the patient have been notified and are in quarantine.
This may be a year of unprecedented changes and challenges, but that won’t keep the Cordova Chamber of Commerce and the Turnagain Arm Mycological Society from finding the FUN in Fungus and bringing it to you to enjoy too! This year, Cordova Fungus Festival and Girdwood Fungus Fair are joining forces to offer a safe, educational, and inspiring event to enjoy from wherever you are!
