Event:Special Weather StatementAlert:…VALDEZ GLACIER DAMMED LAKE RELEASING… Valdez Glacier Dammed Lake on the Valdez Glacier is releasing causing rises on the Valdez Glacier Lake and Stream. The Valdez Glacier Stream is currently at 20.3 ft and has risen over 3 ft since Monday morning. The event is mirroring the release a year ago and is expected to rise an additional 2-3 ft to around 22.5 ft Wednesday morning before receding during the day Wednesday. No significant flooding is expected at this time. EXPECTED IMPACTS: Steady rises in water levels will continue on the Valdez Glacier Lake and Stream through tonight. Erosion may be possible along the dump road and near the Richardson Highway bridge.Instructions:Target Area:Northeast Prince William Sound
