Wrangell-St. Elias Subsistence Resource Commission
Announces October 7-8 Meeting in Copper Center
COPPER CENTER, AK – The Wrangell-St. Elias National Park Subsistence Resource Commission will meet at the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve Visitor Center in Copper Center (Mile 106.8 Richardson Highway) on Monday, October 7, and Tuesday, October 8, 2019, to consider a range of issues related to subsistence hunting and fishing in the park.
Commission business will include an opportunity to comment on proposals to change federal subsistence wildlife regulations as well as updates on the 2019 Copper River salmon season. The meeting is open to the public, and public testimony opportunities are provided. Members of the public are encouraged to attend. Written comments may also be submitted through the park subsistence coordinator by Monday, September 30, for presentation at the meeting.
On October 7, the meeting will begin at 1 PM and recess for the day at approximately 5 PM. On October 8, the meeting will begin at 9 AM and adjourn when business is completed.
