VHS Track and Field Participates in SoHi Invitational

The VHS Track and Field team traveled to Soldotna to compete against 18 other teams in the SoHi Invitational.

The team has been training hard and their diligence and dedication paid off with some spectacular performances and new personal records.

Junior, Owen Chadwick, set a new school record and placed 1^st overall in the 100m with time of 11.30. He went on to place 3^rd in the 200m with a time of 23.21 and 2^nd in the 400m with a time of 52.30.

Kassi Howard placed 3^rd overall in the High Jump with a 4’10’’ jump.

The boys 4X200 relay team of Hayden Howard, Tate Chadwick, Josh Baczuk, and Owen Chadwick placed 3^rd with a run of 1:42.24.

The girls 4X100 relay team of Sophia Palomar, Cherubim Palomar, Kylie Fletcher-Gilbert, and Kassi Howard finished in 8^th place with a time of 57.93.

The team will be traveling to Houston this weekend.
