Location: Richardson HIGHWAY at/or near MP 42-62
The following conditions have occurred:
A travel advisory has been issued for the Richardson Highway, from MP42-62. Areas of Heavy snow and white-out conditions have been reported. The heavy snow transitions into freezing rain then rain as you near the Valdez area. Travel is VERY difficult with snow, slush, ice, IP, and areas of poor visibility. Travelers are advised to avoid driving until conditions improve. If you must drive please use extreme caution. Please refer to 511.alaska.gov for continued updates on road conditions.
