Valdez, AK – The Valdez Consortium Library broke fundraising records during its 17th annual Book Basket Auction in Valdez on Saturday, November 5th.
This year’s event raised $11,561, surpassing the record set last year by almost $1,000. Seventy baskets were donated by citizens, agencies, and businesses. Over 200 people attended the auction.
Funds raised at the auction will be used to enhance the library’s collection.
