Egan Drive Beautification Project Construction Update
Expect lane shifts along Egan for installation of light poles Sept 12th-26th. In late Sept expect periodic closures in front of Totem Inn for arch foundation pours. The same closure will be in effect for 3-4 days late Sept/early Oct for arch installation.
Sept 12th Mayor’s Beautification Task Force Meeting
The Mayor’s Beautification Task Force will hold its next regular meeting on Monday, Sept 12th at noon in City Council Chambers. All Task Force meetings are open to the public.
Sept 13th Council Work Session: Long Range Financial Planning
City Council will hold a work session on Tuesday, Sept 13th at 6pm in Council Chambers to discuss the City’s long term financial plan. All Council work sessions are open to the public.

Sept. 19th Community Reception: Earthquake Memorial Artists
On Monday, Sept 19th the Valdez Museum will host Alaska artists Rhonda Green and Dobson & Dault in a community reception from 6-8pm at the museum. Both artists will display their design concepts for the proposed Earthquake Memorial at Dock Point Park.
Please join us to meet the artists and vote for your favorite design. Appetizers and a no host wine bar will be available at the reception.

Call to Artists: Conceptual Images & Artwork for Egan St. Light Pole Banners
The Mayor’s Beautification Task Force invites proposals from artists for conceptual images and artwork to be used in the fabrication of banners for the Egan Street Beautification Project. Proposals will be accepted until 5pm, Oct 14th.
