We are pleased to announce that KCHU, in partnership with Valdez Consortium Library, Cordova Library, Copper Valley Community Library, Prince William Sound College, Valdez Museum and Historical Archives, The Whitney Museum, Valdez, Cordova, Glennallen, Copper Center & Tatitlek Schools and the Wrangell Mountain Center have been awarded a Big Read grant for 2016-2017. This year’s book will be The Maltese Falcon. There will be book distribution, a broadcast of the book and lots of fun events. Book Distribution began on September 7th at the KCHU studios, Copper Valley Community Library and Cordova Public Library. Copies will soon be available through Tatitlek Schools and in McCarthy. These books are free to the public on a first come, first serve basis.
